Yay for this community! Thank you! I'm a lace-maker and the fit seems perfectly natural to me as well, especially since my lace-teacher for most of my childhood was one of the Maths teachers at my school. After reading the blog, I'm wishing I was able to knit. As a child I was essentially asked to stop knitting squares to be made into blankets for the poor, since no-one was poor enough to need the misshapen objects I was producing!
